Workshop: Kripping Cabaret with Aggie Panda
Kripping Cabaret with Aggie Panda is a 3 part workshop aimed at producers, venue managers, event planners, and performers alike to help define disability needs within theatre space and beyond.
In this workshop you will learn how to write an accessibility statement (even if you don’t think you need one), how to attract and welcome disabled talent into your pool, and how to best pivot into a digital space while holding space for disabled creators.
Be prepared to write notes, participate in writing activities, answer questions out loud, and have your camera spotlighted in the zoom (no need to look fancy, dress code “classroom comfortable” chances are Aggie won’t be wearing pants either).
This is a 2 hour workshop aimed defining disability needs within theatre space and beyond. Accessibility: This workshop is presented with closed captioning and ASL interpretation

Aggie Panda aka actually crippled aka cotton candy aka the Swiss army knife of people, is an autistic disabled content creator out of Toronto, Canada. They’re obsessed with music, all things pink, rocking the dance floor (in or out of their wheelchair), and bringing joy and light where possible. They are a DJ, streamer, tarot reader, administrator extraordinaire (big Virgo energy), personal IT department, and writer and they are here to take over the world, one new skill at a time. They have been an art curator, worked retail, programmed websites, been both a photographer and a model, worked at one of the most prestigious museums in Canada, and been on the floor of some of the scummiest bars as well.

PUSH.PULL is a six-month online series of interdisciplinary events examining emergent and intersectional developments in performance art and QT BIPOC cabaret. Curated by storyteller, producer and stage performer Dainty Smith and multidisciplinary artist Golboo Amani. PUSH.PULL is partnering with Aluna Theatre to present:
* a three-part speaker series inviting performers and cultural creatives to engage in conversations at the intersections of visual culture, sex work, performance and politics by recognizing cabaret as a site of cultural production and community engagement.
* a five- part workshop series led by professionals in the field, aimed at engaging audience participants and community members in immersive skill-sharing experiences deepening appreciation, interest and critical engagement across fields.
