Aluna Theatre’s 2026 Fringe Picks

Toronto Fringe is back to kick off the summer and we’re excited to see this lineup of Fringe artists. We’ve compiled a curated list of Fringe shows that we’re interested in seeing. Hope to see you at the Fringe Patio!

Aluna Theatre at Toronto Fringe

Danse Macabre – Canadian-Caribbean Arts Network (C-CAN)

Aluna Theatre Artistic Producer is the Scenic Designer for Danse Macabre, written and directed by Rhoma Spencer. Winner of the Toronto Fringe New Play Contest, Danse Macabre unfolds in the charged heartbeat of a Mas Camp, where feathers, wire, and memory collide on the eve of Toronto Carnival. It’s a bold and unflinching examination of the history and politics of anti-Black racism, woven into the lived experience of ‘playing mas’. Speaking to both heart and history, it is at once a cultural primer, an emotional journey that helps to demystify the ideology behind WHY Black Lives Matter.

Snacey! – Pitch In Productions

Aluna Theatre Production Assistant Priscila González is the writer and director of Snacey! is a new musical produced by Pitch In Productions. Snacey has not been the kindest snake and is afraid no one will show up to her birthday party! When her past behaviour slithers back to haunt her, Snacey must shed her evil ways and grow into a new version of herself. Will her animal pals (and mom) accept that she is capable of change? This campy musical highlights mother-daughter relationships, the power of an apology, and growing into your own person (or snake).
