Ep. 19: MERENDIANDO with Lezlie Lee Kam

November 27, 2019

This week Monica and Camila sat down with activist and queer elder, Lezlie Lee Kam. We talked about her journey from Trinidad, where she was born, to Toronto, getting involved with queer activism in the city, and combining activism and art in her latest projects.

This episode contains the eternal beauty of Lezlie! Also stories that mention rape, homophobia, violence, racism, activism, refugees, and resilience.

Special thanks to Jumbo Empanadas in Kensington Market for the amazing, giant empanadas!
