This workshop will provide an opportunity to learn about La Llave Maestra’s creative working methodology and its distinctive theatrical language, which blends physical theatre, object and puppet theatre, dance and magic. Participants will be able to experience how La Llave Maestra approaches its creative work through movement, improvisation, and the creation of images—using the body, objects, and space—to create a visual poetry on stage capable of communicating without the need for text.

About the artist
Facilitators


Edurne Rankin and Álvaro Morales, founders and artistic directors of La Llave Maestra, draw on the pedagogical vision of Jacques Lecoq. They trained at Philippe Gaulier’s school in France and at La Mancha School in Chile. At the same time, they furthered their training with teachers such as Philippe Genty, Family Flöez, Jos Houben, and Ana Alvarado.
Together, they have created, directed, and designed 20 shows; theater, circus, dance, and opera that have toured in theaters, fairs, and festivals in more than 23 countries and have been recognized for their creativity, innovation, and unique visual poetry, captivating a wide variety of audiences of all ages and cultures.
