‘One Perfect Day | Un día perfecto’ is a telenovela-inspired play. Alba and Evan think they’re getting the picture perfect Colombian wedding but when the groom is swapped with an evil twin by a long lost sister bent on revenge, the special day falls into chaos, testing the family’s strength. For this CAMINOS digital presentation, Margarita Valderrama and Claren Grosz will adapt the story into a “TikTok play” where Margarita will play all eight characters in a series of over-the-top one minute videos. How does one tell a story that is meant to be grand and blur the line between audience and performers into a medium that fits in your hand and has a short attention span? What is theatre and ceremony without the meeting place? Is it still theatre? Tune in to find out.
