When 2020 rolls in, Prudence Munroe opens the year feeling sorry for herself after a toxic relationship breakup. She is unemployed and spends her time watching television, trolling social media and job hunting until she meets a woman online. No sooner does she land a new job and the promise of a relationship, the city goes into lockdown and Prudence fears for her job. The last to hire, the first to fire an adage that wreaks havoc on her mind is threatening her mental health capacities. It’s a new normal that she never bargained for at the beginning of the year. Fortunately for her, she is now confined to working from home and is still able to maintain her new job. She now has to navigate working online with a new relationship that begins with the pandemic and is destined to take her through the gamut of emotions digitally. The business of Virtual is not Actual and Prudence is now an online maven destined to keep her new relationship relevant and hold a job down through Login, Password, Logout.

‘Login Password Logout’ was inspired by the COVID Confessions of the general public. Convergence Theatre encouraged the public to send them either voicemails, emails or text messages to articulate how they are coping with COVID in May 2020. Out of 39 submissions a group of artists including Rhoma were given these bytes to create art. ‘Login Password and Logout’ is a mashup of nine covid confessions from this list.
