Joelle Peters

Joelle Peters is an Indigenous (Anishinaabe & Miami) storyteller. She grew up on Walpole Island First Nation in Southwestern Ontario and now lives in Toronto. A graduate of Seneca College’s Acting for Camera and Voice program, Joelle is involved in theatre, film, television, playwriting, and improv, and has performed across Canada at festivals and theatres. Joelle is part of the Native Earth Performing Arts Animikiig Creator’s Unit and will be presenting an excerpt from her play Niish in the 33rd Weesageechak Begins to Dance Festival in November 2020.
